The Institute for Health and Productivity Studies (IHPS) at Johns Hopkins University

The IHPS is a collaborative established between the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health and Truven Health Analytics, to bridge the gap between academia, the business community, and the healthcare policy world. IHPS staff conducts empirical research on the relationship between employee health and well-being and work-related productivity.

Studies performed by the IHPS help inform decision makers in both the private and public health sectors on issued related to the health and productivity cost burden of certain health risk factors and common disease conditions. In addition, IHPS researchers examine the impact that innovative health, safety, and productivity management programs have on outcomes.
