Truven Health Analytics Named to CIO Review’s 100 Most Promising Big Data Companies List

Ann Arbor, MI, Jun. 30, 2014 — Truven Health AnalyticsTM announced today that it was named one of the 100 most promising big data companies by CIO Review Magazine.

The list was released in the Mayissue of CIO Review. To compile this list, the CIO Review editorial research team analyzed over 2, 000 firms that focus on big data and shortlisted companies that are at the forefront of tackling big data challenges. A panel comprised of CEOs, CIOs, VCs, industry analysts, and the editorial board of CIO Review selected the final 100.

Truven Health Analytics is a healthcare analytics company with robust, widely-respected data assets and advanced analytic expertise that have served the global healthcare industry for more than 40 years. Combined with a unique perspective across the entire healthcare industry, these solutions give hospitals, clinicians, employers, health plans, government agencies, life sciences researchers, and policymakers the confidence they need to make the quick, informed, accurate decisions.

Earlier this year, Truven Health acquired Simpler Consulting®, the global leader in providing Lean enterprise transformation services, and an exclusive license to the technology of Fortel Analytics™ providing Truven Health with access to a breakthrough suite of predictive solutions, analysis methods and analytic technology designed to quickly identify suspicious patterns in healthcare insurance claims data before claims are ever paid. Together, these transactions enhanced Truven Health’s offerings to provide clients with data driven transformation – of the enterprise and of critical transactions – all while delivering a unparalleled level of customer service.

“The more the promise of big data in healthcare grows, the more valuable the people curating it become. Its value will depend on the knowledgeable and committed people who help our customers find the right insights and make them actionable.” said Mike Boswood, Truven Health Analytics president and CEO. “With solutions that affect the healthcare of one in three people in America, we are finding new ways to make healthcare data smarter and more accessible, enabling our clients to improve the quality, lower the cost, and transform the efficiency of their operations.”
