Truven Health Analytics to Present on ‘Disruption and Innovation in the Healthcare Economy’ at the North Carolina Hospital Association Winter Meeting 2015

Ann Arbor, MI, Feb. 18, 2015 — Truven Health Analytics™, a leading provider of healthcare data and analytics solutions and services, will present at the North Carolina Hospital Association (NCHA) Winter Meeting 2015.

Mike Boswood, president and CEO of Truven Health Analytics, will deliver a presentation on “Disruption and Innovation in the Healthcare Economy, ” in which he will discuss key developments affecting hospitals including the shift from a pay for service focus to value-based care models; and suggest ways that NCHA members can respond effectively to the pressures they now face.

As evolving healthcare delivery and reimbursement models direct hospitals’ focus toward measuring the quality of care and improving patient outcomes, Boswood will demonstrate how big data and scientifically-derived analytic insights can drive hospital and health system performance improvement. Boswood will deliver by-the-numbers commentary on specific challenges confronting hospitals in North Carolina and discuss a new hospital risk-scoring model developed by Truven Health data scientists that enables hospitals to understand their overall strength compared to others in their area, and prioritize the measures they wish to improve.
