Truven Health Analytics to Integrate Medication Essential Fact Sheets with Allen Technologies E3 Patient Engagement Solutions

Education Sheets on Prescription Drugs Improve Patient Engagement


Ann Arbor, MI, Jul. 21, 2016 — Truven Health Analytics, an IBM Company, has partnered with Allen Technologies, the leader in interactive patient engagement solutions for nearly 40 years, to integrate Truven Health’s Medication Essential Fact Sheets into Allen’s E3 Patient Engagement Solutions. The industry-first integration gives patients access to essential information about the medications they are prescribed, in a consumer-friendly format accessible directly through the Allen system on their patient room TV, tablet or touchscreen monitor.

The Truven Health Medication Essential Fact Sheet enables patients to become more engaged participants in their care by providing information on their prescription drugs. By integrating these easy to understand fact sheets into Allen’s E3 Patient Engagement Solutions, patients and their caregivers can receive access to prescription medication education that improves patient literacy, enhances the patient experience, and optimizes operational efficiency.

Partnering with Truven Health, Allen Technologies’ interactive solution will provide hospitals with consistent, concise, easy-to-read medication information for 300 of the most common medications prescribed to hospital patients. Each sheet includes facts on the medication and its potential side effects in an easy to understand format.
