Truven Health Analytics CEO Mike Boswood Discusses Future of Healthcare

2013 Truven Health Advantage Conference Features Keynote Addresses Gov. Howard Dean, MD; Sen Bill Frist, MD; and David Newman, MD

Ann Arbor, MI, May 14, 2013 — Mike Boswood, president and CEO of Truven Health Analytics kicked off the 2013 Truven Health Advantage Conference in Scottsdale, AZ with a discussion of the future of healthcare in the age of Big Data. The Truven Health Advantage Conference is an annual gathering of Truven Health Analytics customers, featuring nearly 70 break-out sessions with industry thought leaders and keynote discussions from the leading voices on healthcare. This year’s keynote speakers are Gov. Howard Dean, MD; Sen. Bill Frist, MD; and David Newman, MD. In his opening remarks, Boswood noted: “Today, Truven Health is raising the bar with Big Data — integrating and analyzing the unprecedented variety, volume, and velocity of data across the continuum of care to create real-world solutions that move healthcare forward in a time of extraordinary change. Howard Dean, MD, and Sen. Bill Frist, MD, who will discuss the various political positions currently influencing healthcare reform. David H. Newman, MD, an emergency room physician and director of clinical research in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine who is one of the leading voices on healthcare reform in the U.S. will discuss the future of healthcare. The annual conference brings together Truven Health customers from across healthcare – stakeholders in hospital and clinical management, employers, health plans, policy research, government agencies, suppliers – for focused peer-to-peer learning opportunities in addition to the keynote presentations. The event will also host the Advantage Awards, which recognize customers that use data and analytics in innovative ways to improve the quality of care and business results within their organizations.
