Truven Health Analytics to Speak on Role of Big Data in Healthcare at America’s Health Insurance Plans Institute 2013

Session to Spotlight the Role of Big Data in Providing Personalized Care
Ann Arbor, MI June 13, 2013Truven Health AnalyticsTM will address the role of big data in healthcare at  America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) Institute 2013.  The session, presented by Truven Health Analytics senior vice president of health analytics Bob Kelley, will cover new and emerging trends in healthcare analytics that will enable personalized interventions similar to those currently provided in financial, retail, and social networking markets.

The annual AHIP conference, which will take place June 12-14, 2013 at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, brings together the top minds in health plan management from across the country.

Truven Health’s program, Leverage Big Data to Improve Population Health Management, will take place on June 14, 2013 at 7:30-8:30 AM.  The session will outline the new ways big data is being deployed in healthcare to improve population health, reduce fraud and waste, and lower costs.  It will also draw on the recent Truven Health Analytics perspective Can Big Data Save a Life?, which discusses specific big data initiatives that could be used to improve patient care today.
